Students Achievements 2018-19

1. An Entrepreneurship Festival, ‘𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗘-𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 2019’ was conducted by IIT Roorkee in Uttarakhand during February 2 -3, 2019.

Our team Helix won second prize for its project ‘AIRY’ in ‘Productathon’.

It’s a wearable band that comes with an app, embedded with sensors to accurately identify the concentration of PM 2.5 in the environment.

The 𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 and this is done using the power of Artificial Intelligence. Data collected from many such wearable gadgets will be sent to cloud in real time and the same is analyzed to find the best route.

2. Best use of Augmented Reality (AR) in Industry:

During the Reality Virtually Hackathon-2019, the team made- AccessiBild, an Interdisciplinary Project.

Our team bagged Best Project Award; winning a cash prize of 2500 USD , which was held at MIT Media Labs, Cambridge, USA during January 17-21, 2019.

In addition to this, they won Mentorship opportunity at MIT and an Oculus Go, which is a VR Headset.

AccessiBild was a project made on Microsoft HoloLens and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which enables people to examine a real-world environment like a restroom.

This application was to instantly analyze whether space was compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and if not, how it fell short.

This is useful to anyone who’s rehabilitating a building or perhaps inspecting one for compliance.

3. Microsoft IMAGINE CUP ASIA FINALS

Our team Caeli was selected for the Microsoft Imagine Cup’s ASIA Finals at Sydney, Australia during 12-17 Feb-2019.

Team Caeli won the 1^st place in the regional finals, winning $15,000, Azure Credits and qualified for the World Championship happening in Seattle during the first week of May. Team Caeli will compete with the winners of USA and Europe regional winners (yet to be announced) for the Grand prize of $100,000.

Caeli is a smart automated drug delivery and anti pollution mask for Asthmatic and other chronic respiratory patients designed to improve the quality of life for respiratory patients living or traveling in polluted areas. Caeli delivers prescribed drugs to patients automatically & intelligently according to the patient’s Dose Schedule and Pollution Levels.
