Manav Rachna University organized a one-day workshop on “Writing and Publishing for Success” for faculty members and research scholars on 11th July 2019. Professor Julia Connell, Assistant Dean Research Training, University of Newcastle, Australia conducted the workshop.
Prof. Julia highlighted the need for publication plans, weekly plan, structured abstracts and demonstrated the same through hands-on sessions. She also emphasized writing & publishing in Quality Journals and Research Career Planning.

Department of Chemistry, Manav Rachna University, organised one-week Educational course on ‘Recent Advances in Green Chemistry & Technology’ and International Conference on ‘Green Initiatives in Science & Technology’ (7th – 11th Jan 2019) in association with Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, University of York (UK). The event was sponsored by Royal Society of Chemistry, London, North India Section & Indian Oil Corporation, R & D Centre, Faridabad. The plenary lecture on ‘Fundamentals of Green Chemistry & Sustainability’ was delivered by Dr. Avtar Matharu (Deputy Director, Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, York University, UK) as the Course Director.

An International Conference on “Sustainable Initiatives in Water Management” was organized at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad in association with the Royal Society of Chemistry, London and Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC), Delhi University on 6th March 2018. The conference was sponsored by Indian Oil Research & Development Center, Faridabad. The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. Satinder Ahuja, President Ahuja Consulting, USA; Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, Prof. R.K. Sharma, (Coordinator GCNC, DU); Dr. NeelimaAlam from Water Technology Initiative Program of Technology Mission Division under DST; Prof. D.K. Chadha, Chair Professor and Chairman- Center for Advanced Water Technology and Management at MREI; Prof. A.K. Gupta, MRU; and Dr. Megha Mittal, MRU.

An International RSC Workshop on ‘Chemistry for Tomorrow’s World’ was organized during 2nd – 3rd Dec 2015 at Hotel Maidens, New Delhi. The workshop was jointly organized by Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC), Delhi University, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad and Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida which was sponsored by Indian Oil R&D Centre, Faridabad and Royal Society of Chemistry, London.
- Dr. Avtar Matharu, International Conference on “Green Initiatives in Science and Technology” (15th Jan 2015)
A one-day International Conference on Green Initiatives in Science and Technology was organized by the Department of Chemistry, on 15thJan 2015. The conference was in association with GCNC, New Delhi and ISST, Ghaziabad and sponsored by Royal Society of Chemistry, London, North India Section and Indian oil R&D, Faridabad. More than 100 delegates from different Universities, IITs, MNITs of India and abroad attended the conference.

Prof. Nathaniel Grafton Martin (Ex-Director UG Program at Rochester University New York) joined MRU as the visiting/contractual faculty in the Department of CST for the sessions 7th Jan – 30th Nov 2016 & Jan – Dec 2017.
The Course “Sustainability Strategies” By Purdue University
The course Sustainability Strategies by Purdue University under PurdueNExT programme was offered to the UG/PG students (July – Dec 2016). The objective of the course is to equip the students with a vision to develop business approaches that create long-term social value (as opposed to stockholder, stakeholder, environmental or corporate social responsibility biases) by embracing opportunities and managing risks.
