Learning Outcomes
To train Dental Students so that they are competent graduate capable of functioning on realistic practice settings.
- Professionalism: The knowledge, skill and attitude/behavior required to practice in an ethical and appropriate way, putting patients needs first and promoting confidence in the dental team
- Clinical: Skills required to deliver direct care, where the individual under trainee has an interaction with the patient, must be competent in obtaining medical history performing appropriate physical examination and organizing investigations and interpretation of their result.
- Communication and interpersonal skills: The skills involved in communicating effectively with patients, their families and associates and with other health professionals involved in their care.
- Management and leadership: Skills and knowledge required to work effectively as a team, manage own time and resources and contribute to a professional practice.
