Research – Department of Periodontology

The department is well equipped with advanced surgical equipments like microsurgical loupes, electrocautery and laser. Laser assisted procedures are being practiced.

The newer research horizons are being explored constantly using multidisciplinary approaches.

Representative research interests in the department include periodontal regeneration, preventive science and epidemiological studies.

Implant dentistry:

Implant dentistry curriculum provides post graduates with fundamentals regarding the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning. Inter-departmental patient management is promoted with emphasis on surgical placement of implants and post-surgical maintenance .
