A student seeking admission in B.A- Journalism & Mass Communication with Majors in the following.

The eligible students under this programme shall have a provision to proceed Western Sydney University (WSU) , Australia  in 2nd year directly with transfer of credits of all courses/subjects studied at MRIIRS.

Eligibility Criteria Pass in 10+2 examination /equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects including English as compulsory subject along with 4 subjects with the highest score out of the remaining subjects.or  IELTS composite score at 6.0 with individual score not less than 5.5
#The eligible students under this programme shall have a provision to proceed Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia in 2nd year directly with transfer of credits of all courses/subjects studied at MRIIRS and completes the programme of Bachelor of Communication of WSU   with award of their degree of Bachelors of Communication.
WSU, Australia provides academic support in terms of course details and delivery during the first year of this programme at MRIIRS through the faculty members of WSU Australia. The eligible students who shall be moving to WSU, Australia in their 2nd year of this programme with the transfer of credits (provided they do earn all the offered credits during first year) and completes their 2nd and 3rd year shall be required to pay the fee and other charges as per WSU Australia during that period and shall be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Communication of the WSU, Australia.

FMeH conducts workshops on various aspects of broadcast journalism for both B.A Journalism & Mass Communication programmes, keeping in view the current technology trends, innovations in journalism and up to date workflows for news television. These workshops shall cover reporting, anchoring, breaking news, news production and the role of a producer, different departments of a news channel, writing for television news, the newsroom scenario, operations – live PCR / camera/ editing / technical overview of modern television newsrooms and Digital Media.

Placement Opportunities

Mass Communication is an all-encompassing field, comprising not only journalism but also advertising,Public Relations, event management, social media and digital marketing and the like. The job opportunities therefore are of varied nature andgenre, demanding different types of aptitude and training.

The media scene in India is booming today, with around 900 television channels, 820 radio FM channels (both private and Prasar Bharati owned)and over 17,500 newspapers, apart from a huge number of online platforms and OTT channels. There has also been a mushrooming of advertising, PR and digital agencies across the country. In order to meet the manpower requirements of the rapidly expanding media and communication industry, the training of students has become all the more important. This is especially required in view of rapidly evolving technology especially post the advent of Internet.


In the final Semesters, the students are therefore sent to various media houses, production companies and PR and advertising firms to learn the art and craft of the trade and acquaint themselves with the updated industry practices and required skill-sets.
