NIOS stands for NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OPEN SCHOOLING. It is an autonomous body under MHRD, Government of INDIA. The board provides open school learning facilities to the entire spectrum of School Education. Apart from conducting vocational education and skill development courses, it also provides training to the untrained teachers through its D.El.Ed program.
