Background

In today’s web of interconnected world, quality of life has improved, and communication has become very fast. While we celebrate our past, we also witness modifications and adaptations and the infusion of new elements in our relationships. The contemporary dynamics of the region and the fast-changing global society bring new ideas and pose different challenges. Asian countries should work proactively to highlight the positivity and good things that are happening in their countries and engage more constructively to address pressing transnational problems. The fusion of cultural past could be enriched further through robust cooperation among the countries. Besides, The COVID-19 pandemic has had devastating impacts on countries and geographies across the world. Not only the economy, but COVID-19 has also alerted our lifestyle, health, human relationships and approaches, and has brought in a new normal. Countries are undergoing paradigm shifts in doing business. No country can fight the pandemic single-handedly, and a coordinated and cooperative response is the way to go. Overall, the new normal calls for a shift in the understanding and nuances of how to strengthen cooperation and collaboration by leveraging each other’s, as well as situational, opportunities to lead to higher prosperity and stability for Asian countries.

For instance, the WHO Sports and Health Programme was established to capitalize on the great potential of helping people worldwide lead healthy lives through promoting participation in sports and working with the sports community to advance health for all to ensure achieving universal health coverage, addressing health emergencies and promoting healthier populations. Amidst the Covid 19 pandemic, within a world which is mired and grappling with the challenges of blended learning using a hybrid mode, such a conference will bring diverse stakeholders from various parts of the world come together to share ideas for social innovation for the new normal challenges.
