Resurrection 2023: A Grand Spectacle of Talent and Creativity
The Annual Cultural Fest of Manav Rachna was back with full enthusiasm and energy, ready to celebrate and spread extravagant vibes all over the campus. With the purpose of providing a platform for students to participate and compete in different events, various competitions were organized across 8 different verticals: Fashion, Dance, Music, Theatre, Fine Arts, Literary, Culinary, and E-Sports.
Competitions such as Suro ka Khel (Solo Singing), Wrap the Rap (Rap Wars), Downbeat (DJ Wars), Vocal Percussion (Beatbox), and Battle of Bands were conducted under the Music vertical, where participants from all music competitions disseminated exhilarating vibes across the campus. The Theatre Vertical hosted Rangmanch (Stage Play), The Chosen One (Mono Acting), and Aarambh (Street Play), showcasing teams’ acting prowess. Joyous dance performances were presented in competitions hosted under the Dance Vertical.
To realize the power of words, the Literary Vertical organized Word War (English Debate), Poetry Party, Spell Bee, Grammar Nazi (Just a Minute), Tell a Tale (Story Telling), and Insta Story Telling. The Fashion Vertical, through Spandan: The Vogue, offered a platform for budding models to showcase their talent. In the Fine Arts Vertical, participants relaxed and expressed themselves most beautifully through events such as A Brush with Brilliance, Face Painting Competition, and Scribble Your Thoughts.
The culinary skills of participants were tested in the Spice Route competition organized by the Culinary Vertical. Adding thrill to the lively fest, the E-Sports Vertical organized a Valorant Tournament.
More than 600 registrations were received for various events from different universities and colleges including Hindu College, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Ramanujan College, Hansraj College, Lady Irwin College, Sri Venkateswara College, Vardhaman Mahaveer Medical College, Gargi College, Daulat Ram College, AryaBhatta College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Amity University, Jaypee Institute of Information and Technology, Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), J.C Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, DAV, Guru Harkrishan Public School, Asian Business School, Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology, DPG Degree College, PGDAV College, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Aravali College of Engineering, RIG Institute of Hotel Management, Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Chandigarh University, B.R. Ambedkar University, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, IPU, Kalka Institute, Lingayas Vidyapeeth, Satyug Darshan Institute, and Delhi University.
During the fest, “RONZ” – The Mascot of Resurrection, interacted with participants, disseminating vivacious vibes to elevate spirits and promote Resurrection 2K23.

The literary segment of Resurrection 2023 featured a series of thought-provoking competitions that engaged the intellectual prowess of participants. The “Just A Minute” contest saw students from various universities deliver insightful speeches on topics ranging from societal issues to contemporary challenges. In the “Word War” debate competition, participants engaged in spirited discussions on pressing topics such as transgender marriages and the impact of technology.
The “Poetry Party” brought together poets from diverse backgrounds to weave lyrical verses addressing societal concerns. With heartfelt renditions in multiple languages, participants illuminated the stage with their poetic prowess.
Creative Expressions in Fine Arts:
The fine arts segment of Resurrection 2023 showcased a kaleidoscope of artistic expressions, with participants displaying their talents in face painting, canvas painting, and doodling art competitions.
Dancing Through the Lens: Lights, Camera, and Action on the Dance Floor!
Resurrection 2023 unfolded under the theme “Lights, Camera, Action!”, setting the stage for a spectacular showcase of dance talent. Participants from various colleges illuminated the stage with their performances, bringing the theme to life through their choreography and expressions. From dazzling light effects to captivating moves, the dance segment transported the audience into the world of cinema, making it a highlight of the fest.
Resonating Melodies: A Musical Extravaganza
Under the theme “Lights, Camera, Action!”, Resurrection 2023 resonated with melodious tunes and lyrical prowess in the Suro Ka Khel and Wrap The Rap competitions. Participants brought the theme to life through their vocal talents and rap skills, infusing elements of drama and excitement into their performances. The musical segment added vibrancy and energy to the fest, capturing the essence of cinema through its captivating melodies.

Gaming Galore: Unleashing the Action-Packed World of Esports!
The esports event added an extra layer of excitement to the festivities, with gamers engaging in thrilling virtual battles. From thrilling Valorant tournaments to heart-stopping League of Legends showdowns, every match was a test of skill, strategy, and teamwork. Spectators were treated to a display of lightning-fast reflexes and jaw-dropping plays as competitors vie for glory and the title of esports champion. With top-notch gaming setups and a buzzing atmosphere, Resurrection 2023’s esports event promised non-stop action and adrenaline-fueled entertainment for all.
THE STAR NIGHT
A dazzling Star Night was also organised. DNA Music presented an electrifying DJ performance which was enjoyed by all the students and Faculty Members. Milind Gaba, a young Enthusiastic singer, songwriter, music producer and actor associated with Punjabi and Bollywood music performed foot-tapping songs which mesmerized the audience and made them dance. Manav Rachna Educational Institutions annual fest, Resurrection 2023, unfolded with unparalleled fervor and enthusiasm, showcasing a diverse array of events that captivated participants and spectators alike. From enthralling literary contests to vibrant cultural showcases and culinary extravaganzas, the event was a celebration of talent, creativity, and camaraderie.
