over 12 years of experience in various specialised finance and accounts fields and is

currently working as Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting, United Health Group.

Alumni Connect by CMA Shrey Chawla

Department of Management and Commerce (DMC) organized an alumni activity for the students of BBA on June 24,2021. CMA Shrey Chawla, BBA Finance & Accounts, 2016-2019 batch, was welcomed by Dr. Pooja Kapoor, Associate Professor and alumni coordinator DMC. Mr. Shrey is a Certified Management Accountant and recently has been placed as CMA in ‘Invesco’ an Investment Management Company. 

Shrey gave insights on Managerial Accounting, Various roles of a Management Accountant and its associated change in responsibilities in big and small firms, the process of Managerial Accounting which involves Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting as well as Costing and its types, and different forms of analysis including variance, profit, and break-even analysis.

MRU E cell under Innovation & Incubation MRU, organized a webinar in collaboration with  Atal Incubation Centre -AIC-BIMTECH . The speaker for the session was an entrepreneur- Mr. Aditya Bose, CEO of Probano who addressed the students on the topic of “Exposure and field visit for problem identification”

MRU as an academic partner with AIC –BIMTECH participated in the Saturday Round Table discussion on “WOMEN IN THE INDIAN ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCENARIO” held on 20Th feb 2021.The event was organized in association with Chevening Alumni India. The speakers focused their discussion on current policies and programs like  Startup India scheme, Udyam Sakhi by MSME , MUDRA Yojna ( SIDBI), SPURTHI which are cluster development programs offered by the Govt. of India to support women entrepreneurs

Industrial visit of students BBA  HCM fourth semester to Asian Institute of Medical Sciences: Department of Management and Commerce BBA(Healthcare Management) organized visit of students BBA  HCM fourth semester to Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad on 11th March 2020.

Industrial visit and Internship of BBA (Healthcare specialization) students at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences: The students were offered departments as per their area of interest like quality, patient care, pharmacy, HR, finance, etc. Students visited the Asian hospital on 3rd June 2019 and explored the various opportunities at the hospital.


BFSI Sector Skill Council of India 

The BFSI Sector Skill Council of India is set up to bring leading organizations of the BFSI industry together to create strategies and operational plans that will create standardized skill requirements for the various job roles in the industry. The skill council will also accredit well -equipped service providers who will partner to disseminate the training. The skill council is seen by its stakeholders and partners as a nation-building activity with far reaching implications for social development and empowerment through financial inclusion. Great care is being taken to appropriately address the needs of the various industry verticals as well as the geographical regions of the country.

National Small Industry Corporation (NSIC)

NSIC provides technical support to MSMEs through ‘NSIC Technical Services Centres’ (NTSCs) and a number of TICs & LBIs spread across the country. The range of technical services provided through these centres include skill development in Hi-Tech as well as conventional trades, material and product testing at our testing laboratories accredited by NABL / BIS, common facilities, energy audit, environment management etc.

  • National Level Awareness Program on Entrepreneurship on November 24, 2021 was conducted for BBA Students.

Department of Management (DMC), MRU in association with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) conducted an enriching National Level Awareness Program on Entrepreneurship, floated by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on November 24, 2021.  The program was unveiled to spread awareness pertaining to various schemes as well as initiatives undertaken by the MSME ministry & other associated firms in the field of Entrepreneurship. 

 

123 students across all semesters got themselves enrolled in the Program. The one hour program was an amalgamation of videos highlighting the various schemes launched by government and several funding options available to promote entrepreneurship. All the schemes shown were growth-centric as they intended to instill entrepreneurship. It aimed to encourage students from different age groups to select entrepreneurship as their career. The program prioritized self-empowerment and entrepreneurship so that more and more start-ups get on board. 

  • Industrial Visit of BBA Students to National Small Scale Industries Corporation 27oct2021 

Department of Management & Commerce organized an industrial visit to “National Small Scale Industries Corporation”, Faridabad for 3rd & 5th Semester students of BBA Entrepreneurship & Family Business and BBA Operations Management. Dr.Yogita Sharma, Associate Professor and Dr. Subodh Saluja, Associate Professor accompanied the students.

The visit started with an orientation on entrepreneurship and Quality Management. Followed by a small interactive session on how India is growing and how it became possible for our country to get 3rd rank in number upcoming start-ups. The role of Quality Control was also highlighted They were shown to Incubation Centre, that had machines of embroidery, paper cup machine, paper binding, bakery and Soya making. 

They were shown robotics lab, automobile manufacturing and its working, costing and production. They were shared the entire working of paper cup machine and baking unit and the areas for raw material procurement. They showed the concept of start-ups. This visit enriched the students with practical exposure that will lead them to have a better understanding of their respective courses.

  • Industrial visit report of Grant Thornton LLP (New Delhi)

The School of Management, Manav Rachna University, organized an industry visit for BBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Business Analytics) students on 16th February 2023 to Grant Thornton LLP, a leading accounting and advisory firm in India in Aerocity, New Delhi. The purpose of the visit was to gain an understanding of the company’s operations, management structure, and work culture.

Company Background: Grant Thornton is a global accounting and advisory firm with over 58,000 employees in 140 countries.
