Report on the Session: Introduction to Business Analytics

On July 9, 2024, Ridge Valley School in Gurugram hosted an enlightening session on “Introduction to Business Analytics” for the students of Class 11 and 12. The session was conducted by Dr. Animesh, a renowned expert in the field of business analytics. Around 50 students participated in the session.

Dr Animesh began the session by introducing the students to the different levels of analytics and explaining the importance of Descriptive Analytics, Predictive Analytics & Prescriptive Analytics. Dr Singh emphasized how each level adds value to business decision-making processes and how companies use these analytics to gain competitive advantages.

The discussion then moved to the significance of data visualization in the current business scenario. Dr. Animesh highlighted the importance of Clarity, Insight, Decision-Making & Communication.

To ensure that the students could apply the concepts learned, Dr. Animesh conducted several participative exercises on Data Interpretation & Predictive Analysis.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students posed various questions related to the field of business analytics. Dr. Animesh provided detailed answers, helping to clarify their doubts and further stimulate their interest in the subject. The students found the session to be highly informative and engaging. They appreciated the practical approach taken by Dr. Animesh and expressed interest in exploring business analytics further.
