Session on “Secrets of Profile Building on LinkedIn”
On 18th March 2023, Team CDC organized an online session on “Secrets of Profile Building on LinkedIn”, for Manav Rachna associates. The expert for the session was Ms. Aanchal Chopra, North Regional Head for Academics & Government at LinkedIn. She was accompanied by Mr.Kunal Godinho, Account Director, LinkedIn Talent, and Learning & Engagement Solutions.
Ms Aanchal interacted with the participants and discussed the importance of profile building in their career development, getting connected with different professionals from diverse industries, domains, and backgrounds. She emphasized the importance of being active on LinkedIn to get connected with like-minded communities.
She shared some insights on building an effective LinkedIn profile:
- Customize Your URL to make it easier for others to find and remember your profile.
- Create a Compelling Headline to highlight your professional expertise.
- Add a Professional Profile Photo to leave a great first impression.
- Craft a Summary to showcase your skills, experience, and achievements.
- Use the “Featured” section toshowcase your work such as articles, presentations, or projects.
- Highlight your Skills and Endorsements to validate and and demonstrate your areas of expertise.
Ms. Aanchal also provided some additional tips, such as keeping your profile up-to-date, using keywords strategically, and engaging with your network through posts, comments, and messages.
