Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) Delhi Chapter in association with the Department of ME and Automobile , MRIU, organized the “26th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts

Manav Rachna International University was host to one of the premier Quality Concept Conventions at its campus here today. Organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) Delhi Chapter in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering, Manav Rachna International University, the “26th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts” was attended by a galaxy of delegates–as many as 1500–from the industry to reflect upon ‘Make in India—A Vision through Quality Concepts’.

DSC_0951The Convention was graced by Mr Pravin Malhotra, Chairman and Managing Director of Nipman Fastener Industries Pvt Ltd, as Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony, while Commander Jagmohan Singh Bhogal (Retd), Senior Director, Quality Council of India (QCI)-National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) was the Guest of Honour. Later in the day, Dr N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony and Mr R. Dayal, Executive Director (Gujarat Projects) Maruti Suzuki India Limited, was Guest of Honour on the august occasion. The other senior dignitaries at the Convention from the academia and industry were Dr M. K. Soni, ED & Dean, Faculty of Engineering &Technology, MRIU; Mr. Ravi Kumar Pisipaty – Chairman (QCFI – Delhi Chapter); Mr M. P. Chandok, Vice Chairman, QCFI, and representatives from PSUs and Corporates such as Honda, Tata, GAIL , Hero Motocorp Ltd, JCB India Ltd, Jindal Stainless Ltd, Munjal Showa Ltd, and the like.

DSC_0978Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravi Kumar Pisipaty, Chairman-QCFI-Delhi Chapter, said, “The 26th Convention has been organized with the objective of contributing towards ‘Make in India-A Vision through Quality Concepts’. Continuous participation in these conventions will enhance the level of engagement of the employees of organizations in the Total Employee Involvement process while focusing towards realizing Business Objectives.” As India’s pioneering non-profit organization, the Quality Circle Forum of India, established in 1982, has been doing its bit towards the enhancement of Quality consciousness in India. Its Delhi Chapter has in the past organized conventions at Jaipur and Palampur before putting together the Convention in Delhi-NCR at the Manav Rachna Campus.

Expressing his deep appreciation of the Convention, Dr N.C. The participants at the Convention were exposed to programs and events like: Quality Circle and Allied Concept Presentation, Knowledge Test, Quiz and cultural programmes. The Convention also presented awards to the winners among corporates and called a press conference to communicate its goals and objectives.
