Training session on ‘Going Digital – No Cash Movement’
Department of Management and Commerce organised a training session on Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan: an initiative of Ministry of HRD for BBA FAA, EFB and HCM students of MRU at 12.00 noon in IG08 on 21st December, 2016
In view of recent decisions of the Government, to shift from a cash-dependent to a cashless economy, with objectives of better social equity, availability of more resources for development work through higher revenue collection, eradication of counterfeit currency, reduction in illegal transactions and a curb on black money , a training session on cashless modes of payment was organized today by faculty. Students of BBA program have enrolled their names as volunteers for the digitization movement. They would be educating their family members and people in their immediate surroundings for digital payments.
The purpose of the training session was to educate and actively engage the students of the department to encourage and motivate all payers and payees to use a digitally enabled cashless economic system for transfer of funds.Students are looking forward to take up some areas in their localities to create awareness and interact with shop owners, including vendors, and their associations with an objective of developing a cashless market focusing on each point of sale.
