MRCE students to represent India at the World Skills Competition 2015 in Brazil
Saurabh Kanwar and Neha Valecha, students from Manav Rachna College of Engineering have been selected as the National Finalists at the World Skills Competition 2015 to be held in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
Four students from across the country have been selected (including two from MRCE), who will go through rigorous training for 6-8 months through NASSCOM & NSDC to prepare them for the grand finale. One of them will represent the country in the ITSSB skill category (IT Software Solutions for Business) in the finale.
The National Finals were covered by DD National and will be telecasted on the channel on December 14 on the show ‘Hunnarbaaz’ at 11am featuring a special interview with the winners..
The World Skills Competition takes place in different countries every two years and brings together over 1,000 young people from across the globe to compete in skills ranging from ‘welding’ to ‘web design’. The competitors pitch their skills against the best of the best and compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. World Skills is the largest skills competition in the world and attracts thousands of visitors such as schools, colleges and training providers, government representatives, employers and teachers.
