Mastering Contract Drafting and Legal Document Preparation
On 23rd February 2024 a mesmerising and enlightening Contract Drafting Workshop was organised by the School of Law, Manav Rachna University at CADR Room, in G Block. The aim was to enlighten and apprise first-year law students on Contract Drafting.
A total of 117 students participated in the workshop facilitated by Advocate Tushar Khandelwal, a drafting expert who was invited as the guest of honour. Upon his arrival, Dr Kanu Priya, the Dean of the School of Law, presented him with a token of appreciation. During the workshop, sir enlightened the students about the importance of proper language, formatting, clarity, precision, classification, legal interpretation and professionalism while drafting a contract or any other legal document. He also mentioned the format and way of drafting a formal email with the importance of having a professional email address. Along with these, he also shared his experiences about arbitration, contract drafting and negotiations. He resolved the students’ doubts and clarified some of the new laws like the DPDP (Digital Private Data Protection) Act and the ROW (Right of Way) Act. Additionally, he resolved one of the major confusions between the terms Delhi, New Delhi and NCT (National Capital Territory). The workshop was quite enlightening and interesting.
