A health camp was organized at Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Tigaon Village by Manav Rachna International University on 19-11-2016 (Saturday) to provide free health check up and treatment to rural population by physiotherapy and nutrition professionals. The organization regularly held camp at this village & have a regular engagement with the villagers under the umbrella of Dr. OP Bhalla foundation. The dedicated professionals who attended the camp included Dr.Manish Kumar, ,Dr. Pooja Sharma, Dr Lakhwinder Kaur, graduate and post graduate physiotherapy & Nutrition & Dietetics students. A total of 127 people including adults and children were treated & advised by the respected team of physiotherapy & Nutrition & dietetics professionals. Large number of people who were part of the camp belonged to different age group & were having problems like knee, back and neck pain. Many of them reported to be suffering from musculoskeletal problems and post fever ailments. General fitness were evaluated for the school children. Regular exercise, ergonomic advices and life style modification were emphasized upon to halt and alter the deterioration level of the patient. The villagers were counseled about the importance of hygiene & exercises in maintaining a good health. The dental department provided services such as tooth extraction, root canal and oral cancer screening among others.
The Principal of the school Mr. Pawan and Assistant Education Officer Mr. Harbir Singh provided a very warm welcome & conducive environment for the conduction of the camp. Dr. OP Bhalla foundation wish to follow up at this village after deliberations at the findings of the data collected from the village & play a vital role in bringing a positive change in the lives of the people residing in Tigaon Village.
