Manav Rachna University welcomed Ph.D. scholars Batch 2023-24 (January Session) in Orientation program held on February 17, 2024. This is the twelfth batch of Doctoral Program at Manav Rachna University.
Research Scholars from various streams like Management, Education, Sciences, Law and Engineering were part of the orientation program. The Orientation program was started with the Hawan ceremony followed by the Sessions on key policies and processes. The event was graced by various dignitaries including Prof. (Dr.) I.K. Bhat (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MRU), Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Banga (Pro Vice Chancellor, MRU), Prof. (Dr.) Goldie Gabrani (Dean Research, MRU), Prof. (Dr.) Shruti Vashisht (Dean Academics), other Deans and HoDs, Ph.D. departmental coordinators and faculty members in I Block Auditorium.
The orientation program was aimed at stirring the innate potential of every scholar who will now be walking the campus for their journey towards Doctoral Degree next few years. Dr. Anshuman Sahai, Ph.D Coordinator, extended a warm welcome to the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) I.K. Bhat (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MRU) and other dignitaries. The ceremony was marked by the address of Prof. (Dr.) I.K. Bhat (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MRU) wished everyone with his blissful words and highlighted the significance of the day, During his address, he motivated scholars to do quality research, highlighted the importance of originality in research wor. Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Banga (Pro Vice Chancellor, MRU), highlighted the importance of Patience, Hard Work and Dedication in Ph.D. She also motivated and encouraged the scholars to come out with quality research work and to pick up research problems pertaining to societal issues. The next session was taken by Prof. (Dr.) Prinima Gupta (Deputy Director Doctoral Program, MRU) briefed them about the Ph.D. program and highlighted all the key steps of the Ph.D. process with all the formats and guided them about how scholars can proceed in Ph.D. and complete it in a stipulated time.
In the next session Course work subject introduction was given by course work faculties Dr. Rashi Banerji, Dr. Bhawna Singla and Dr K. Deepa followed by the brief introduction of all the Ph.D scholars of the new batch. A Library session was conducted by Dr. Savita Sharma and Dr. Mamta Kaushik (Deputy Librarian, MRU) on the awareness of Library Resources and plagiarism tools in Swami Vivekananda Library.
The scholars appreciated this new experience, and important sessions.
