International Series- Guest Lecture by Mr. Abhijit Narayan
In an ever-globalizing world, the legal landscape is expanding beyond borders, presenting law students with a myriad of international opportunities and challenges. Abhijit Narayan is a New York and India educated lawyer. After completing his LL.B from Delhi University, he pursued LL.M in corporate laws from the prestigious New York University School of Law. He heads the firm’s India Desk for Continental Europe and regularly advises clients on India related matters across different sectors. The lecture was marked by insightful discussions and thought-provoking insights as Mr. Narayan briefed us about these three major questions,
- How should a student proceed in pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) in the United States, and what key elements comprise this undertaking, covering prerequisites, thorough program research, and the complexities of the application process.
- In navigating the competitive landscape of the legal industry, what multifaceted strategies, educational achievements, and hands-on professional experiences should a lawyer strategically prioritize and cultivate to not only meet but exceed the rigorous standards set by top-tier law firms. Moreover, how can the individual tailor their skill set, network effectively, and demonstrate a profound commitment to excellence in order to stand out as an exceptional candidate during the application and selection process for such sought-after positions.
- The comprehensive strategies, professional milestones, and cultural considerations should be taken into account to effectively establish oneself as a distinguished lawyer in the diverse legal landscapes across European countries. Moreover, how can an aspiring legal professional navigate the complexities of legal systems, build a robust network, and showcase a commitment to legal excellence to not only meet but exceed the expectations of legal practice within the varied jurisdictions of Europe.
Throughout the session, students participated, asked questions, and engaged in meaningful discussions. Together, our guest Ms. Abhijit Narayan and the students made this an enriching experience for everyone.
