Swami Vivekananda Library and Resource Centre and Internal Quality Assurance Cell along with Turnitin India Private Limited organized  “A Training Session on Workflow of Turnitin for Instructors” for the faculty member and library staff on May 22, 2023. The session was conducted from 1.00 pm to 1.30 pm on the Zoom platform by Mr. Sachin Gurwe, Training and Implementation Consultant, Turnitin India Private Limited. Mr. Sachin Gurwe covered the topics like plagiarism and academic misconduct, the difference between plagiarism and text similarity, similarity matches recognition, how to identify plagiarism in a similarity report, and highlighted the factors that increase expected similarity in a similarity report. He explained how to utilize Turnitin as a formative tool to improve writing outcomes. The session was worthwhile for all and the end-users requested follow-up sessions on Turnitin. On behalf of the faculty of Manav Rachna University, Dr. Mamta Kaushik proposed a vote of gratitude to Mr. Sachin Gurwe. There were 41 attendees in the session.
