A Preamble to Career under the Government of India
The heights by great men reached and kept, were not attained by sudden flight, But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. Manav Rachna University organised a career-oriented seminar for the students of CSE, IT, ECE and ME 2nd year, in order to spread awareness about various jobs in the Civil services. Our Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. V. K. Mahna enlightened the students with his repertoire of more than four decades of experience.
He started off by mentioning how little the students of India know about their country, its geography and different cultures. He then went on to explain about various government services and cadres like IAS, IPS, IFS and about the preparation of these examinations one has to undergo in order to get into these cadres. Dr. V K Mahna continued to inspire the students by mentioning some real-life examples of students who cracked and got selected with their continuous hard work and dedication.
He concluded the session by explaining that if one is resolute and dedicated to achieve their dreams, then nothing can stop him. A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.
