An Industrial Talk on ‘Privacy Space And Building System To Uphold User Trust’ was organized by the Faculty of Computer Applications (FCA) on March 21, 2022 The guest speaker for the talk was Mr. Amitsing Chandele, Software Engineer at Facebook, London who is an IIT Delhi Alumni and has rich experience in building privacy systems.
Mr. Amit discussed the ways of creating and upholding methods used to secure systems as well as the algorithms and functions that can be used to encrypt data and the tests for checking privacy. He highlighted some of the major security threats that have taken place in the past.
During his speech, he talked about securing our application usage and how our data is being used by many of companies. In addition, he discussed how we can prevent our data being shared by companies. Toward the end of his presentation, he answered the questions of students and hinted at future research in the area of data and content security. The students asked questions regarding the algorithms and tools used to handle the security of whatsapp content. The webinar was attended by nearly 123 students from FCA.
