Field visit of B.Ed Students to Sunder Nursery Heritage Park
A field visit to Sunder Nursery Heritage Park was organized by the School of Education and Humanities, Manav Rachna University recently. This visit was undertaken as a part of the course curriculum for assessment of the integrated BA. B.Ed Integrated/B.Sc B.Ed. Integrated, B.Ed. and B.Ed. Special Education program.
Spread over a 90-acre area, Sunder Nursery boasts historical monuments, bird species, butterfly species, peafowl zone, and more. Due to the variety of interests and learning it offers for students and faculty alike, this site was chosen for the field visit. Around 137 students along with eight faculty members visited the place.
The students had essential takeaways from the field visit from different perspectives. Students got a chance to see different species of flowers as lots of flowers were blooming, and the arthropods were busy pollinating and collecting nectar.
They also witnessed different bird species such as black rumped flame back and red-breasted fly-catcher that were busy catching different annelids present in the soil and various arthropods flying around. Besides being enamored by the bio-diversity, the students showed keen interest in understanding the historic architectural grandeur of the monuments.
