Day 2 of AICTE-ISHRAE organized 5 days Faculty Development Program on HVAC
Towards developing futuristic and innovation-driven individuals in the field of HVAC Department of Mechanical Engineering, MRIIRS and AICTE-ISHRAE organized a 5-day Faculty Development Program to develop a workforce that is capable of developing new solutions to meet the ever-increasing energy demand.
The first session of the second day of FDP was taken over by Mr. Kapil Singhal who is presently MD, BP Refcool. He was welcomed by Prof. and Head Dr. M. Shrivastava and Mr. Joydeep Chakraborty. He is a graduate mechanical engineer and MBA and has 22 years of experience in the RAC sector. Previously he has worked in Kirloskar and Dupont. He delivered a lecture on refrigerants. The topic of ozone depletion potential and global warming potential of refrigerants was also explained by him. After the end of each session, there was high tea for participants and faculty members. At the end of the session, he was facilitated by Dr. M. Shrivastava and Mr. Joydeep Chakraborty with a shawl and memento as a token of honor.
The second session was taken by Mr. Subir Das. He was welcomed by Dr. Manoj Nayak with a sapling. He is MD, Flow-Tech Air Pvt. Ltd. He was previously president ISHRAE Delhi chapter. He has over thirty years of industrial experience. He is a much-respected figure in the HVAC industry. He delivered a talk on the topic ‘Understanding thermal design and analysis of counter flow cooling towers’.
