The Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Manav Rachna Dental College, FDS, MRIIRS
started with a Value added course on Tobacco Cessation programme from Academic Year 2021-
22 for BDS students with a primary aim that students become equipped with knowledge to
perform assessment & brief intervention with all patients who visit Tobacco cessation centre at
MRDC.
A total of 79 students enrolled for this programme and were awarded certificate only after
successfully passing the written exam held after completion of entire course. The toppers of
this course were awarded certificate by Dr. Arundeep Singh(Principal ,MRDC), Dr. Sumit
Bhateja(Prof. & Head, Dept of Oral Medicine & Radiology and Course Coordinator) & Dr.
Tamanna Soni (Reader, Dept of Oral Medicine & Radiology).
