What is the status of Civil Engineering Department?

Labs are well equipped with latest equipments such as Horizontal and vertical shake table, Universal Testing machine with 100 kN capacity with 09 channels to measure displacements with computer interface, rebar locater, UPV, Rebound Hammer, Vibration Analyser, Accelerometer, Core cutter etc. Apart from regular course, curriculum activities, research works are also being under taken in the department. Our syllabus is regularly reviewed and modified according to the needs of industry by the Board of Studies. The members of Board of Studies include experts from IIT, NIT, DTU, JMI, industry etc and senior faculty members of MRIU. Department also continuously interacts with reputed industries, government departments and organizes field visits, special technical lectures, workshops, seminars for exchange of technical knowledge.

Department is having sufficient number of faculty members as per norms of UGC/AICTE mostly derived from academia and industry. They have graduated from IIT, NIT and reputed Central State Universities. Many faculty members are PhD and besides so many are also pursuing PhD programme.
Whether sufficient reference books are available in Library?
The Central Library is an invaluable resource for students, researchers & faculty members of Civil Engineering Department. The library has collection of more than 5000 books along with various journals & other related materials like CDs DVDs, on-line journals such as ASCE etc. Apart from central library department has its own library with about 1000 reference books.
