Academic Industry Interface – Civil Engg

Academia-Industry Collaboration in Engineering Education and Technical Exposure is a key element of a comprehensive learning platform for Skill development, Entrepreneurship and Employability. The Department of Civil Engineering has signed 03 Industrial Internship MoUs with reputed industries involved in construction and smart infrastructure with an aim to support easy availability of Internships to students / Industrial Visits / Industrial Research Projects.

    2. Diversifying towards IOT, Smart city
    3. Multi-locational electronic assembly & mechanical manufacturing facilities accredited with ISO 9001:2015
    4. Civil Wing situated in Bangalore but projects are being handled in Delhi-NCR also

    1. ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO 45001 Certified Company
    2. Leader in Telecom Infrastructure Industry for both Active & Passive infrastructure projects

    1. Specialist in RCC Framed structure; roads and roof treatments
    2. Pan India presence for construction of Multistoried Structures

 

The Department of Civil Engineering had organized many Industrial Visits on regular basis at the construction sites/ offices of reputed companies, some of them are listed as:

 

  1. LIG Housing Society, Gurugram, Haryana – An ambitious project of Pyramid Constructions under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the affordable housing (LIG houses).
  2. Central Groundwater Board (CGWB), Faridabad.
  3. Central Soil and Materials Research (CSMR) Station.
  4. Sewage Treatment Plant at Badshahpur.
  5. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), New Delhi
  6. Indira Paryavaran Bhawan.
  7. RMC Readymix Batching Plant.
  8. Geological Survey of India, Faridabad.
  9. Construction Site of DDA.
  10. National Council for Cement Building Materials (NCB), Ballabgarh.

 

The department also focused on the interaction of the industry person with the students and faculty members on the latest technology being adopted in the discipline of Civil Engineering through seminars and workshops such as:

  2. Expert Talk on “Strategy to crack GATE and other Competitive Exams” by Made Easy.

  5. Webinar – cum – Expert Talk on “Glass as a Building and Construction Material” by Saint Gobain Indian Pvt. Ltd.
  6. A Two – Days Workshop on “Health Monitoring of Structures”.
  7. Webinar on ‘Green Concrete: Need or Alternative’ on the occasion of World Environment Day 2021 by J. K. Cement Limited.
  8. Webinar on ‘Building Information Modelling: A Tool for Creating Intelligent 3D Models’ by Cognizant India.
  9. Technical Lecture Meeting Webinar on “Transition to Cyclic Process of WasteManagement” by CIPL.
  10. Expert lecture on “Waste to Energy” by Dr. Abhishek Asthana, Senior Eminent Faculty from University of Sheffield Hallam, United Kingdom.
