Clubs

The Department of Biotechnology encourages its students to participate in various extra and co-curricular activities which help them to showcase their different facets of personality. Also, participating in such events makes students more confident and interactive with other students across various departments of different universities. Eminent resource persons from diverse fields are invited regularly for interaction and imparting guidance to students. The department has two clubs viz., Club Biotechnea and Club Environ. All the students of the department are members of these clubs. The convener of these clubs is Head, Department of Biotechnology. The Club has a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary all of which are represented by students. There is a faculty-in-charge for these clubs who along with the core group members conducts various events under the banner of these clubs. In each semester at least two events are held under these clubs. The activities involve debate, extempore, poster making, slogan writing, quiz, skits, etc. The students from undergraduate as well as postgraduate are encouraged to participate in the events to showcase their talents.
