Cell Biology Lab

The cell biology lab is included into the courses of both UG and PG students. The practicals conducted in this enclosure includes study of compound microscopes as to how to handle the instrument, permanent slides are being used to differentiate between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The experiments ranges from counting of number of cells using

Equipments:

hemocytometer to check the viability of cells using trypan blue and to study the cellular division using onion root tips etc.

For smooth conduction of the experiments, the lab is well equipped with various equipments like Microscopes, projector microscope, pH meter and microtome machine and also have permanent slides. The lab is in continuous usage by students to carry out various projects.
