  • Immunohistochemistry, Is the process of detecting antigens (e.g., proteins) in cells of a tissue section by exploiting the principle of antibodies binding specifically to antigens in biological tissues. Used in the diagnosis of abnormal cells such as those found in cancerous tumors
  • PCR, is a biochemical technology in molecular biology to amplify a single or a few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence. Used in DNA cloning for sequencing, DNA-based phylogeny, or functional analysis of genes; the diagnosis of hereditary diseases; the identification of genetic fingerprints and the detection and diagnosis of infectious diseases

Forensic dentists are responsible for Identification of found human remains, Identification in mass fatalities, assessment of bite mark injuries, assessment of cases of abuse (child, spousal, elder), civil cases involving malpractice, age estimation
