Student Awards:

1. Ms. Vinnie Sachdeva of BDS Final year (Batch 2015) participated in 1^st International & 16^th National IAFO Conference held at Goa. She won the “BEST PAPER PRIZE” for paper entitled “Virtopsy – An aid in Forensic Odontology” under the able guidance of Dr. Sumit Bhateja, Head, Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad.
2. Ms. Vanshika Arora of BDS Final year (Batch 2015) bagged the “THIRD PRIZE” at National Undergraduate Convention of Oral Medicine & Radiology held at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi for her poster presentation entitled “Target Next Generation Gene sequencing in Head & Neck Squamous Cell carcinoma” under the able guidance of Dr. Sumit Bhateja, Head, Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, MRDC.

Faculty Achievements:

1. Dr. Sumit Bhateja chaired a scientific session as chair person at 1^st Dasana International Dental Conference held at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on 6^th -7^th Oct.2018.
2.  Dr. Sumit Bhateja published 4 papers with Undergraduate students of MRDC.

Achievements of the Faculty in the year 2016-17

Dr. Vishal Dang was the Keynote speaker at ‘Improving Oral Cancer Survival: The signature role of the Dentist’ organized by Surendera Dental College, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan on 23rd Jan 2017
Dr. Vishal Dang was the Guest speaker at CDE on Forensic Odontology, Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi. 7th April 2016. The presentation was titiled ‘Tooth for Truth: A Radiological Perspective’
Dr Vishal Dang and Dr Neelkamal Sharda are Members, P.G Board of Studies in the Specialty at Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak in addition to being MDS examiners.
Dr. Vishal Dang is an MDS Examiner in the Specialty at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is also a Reviewer for the Journal of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR)
Dr. Natalia DeSilva completed her Diploma in Clinical Acupuncture from IANM Institute, New Delhi

Achievement of the PG Students in the year 2016
Our PG student Dr Anusha Yadav, completed a research project- Assessment of lingual foramen and mandibular incisive canal using cone-beam computed tomography: A retrospective study and Dr Priya Mamachan, completed a research project-Evaluation of salivary flow rate and gustatory function in postmenopausal women- A prevalence study.
Dr. Meelu Lamba won the Best Paper for her paper on Clinical evaluation of gustatory function in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus, at the XIV National Triple O Symposium “Integrated Approach to Diagnosis and Management”, Subharti Universiy Meerut held from 4th to 6th March 2016

Research Thrust
To enhance quality research the Nutrition and Health Sciences Research Cluster of Manav Rachna is acquiring state-of-the-art equipments for its research Lab to be located on the second floor of the Q block. The Department will be utilizing these facilities which include Anerobic Culture facility, ELISA reader, advanced Hematology and Biochemical Analyzers for research in the Specialty.
This Research Cluster is currently headed by Dr. Vishal Dang.
